Amsterdam2008, Aug 20: De Dam square, commemoration of Kerwin.
Mr. Cohen, Mayer of Amsterdam attended this ceremony.

About Kerwin (from poem book about Kerwin, Published by Stichting Vrienden van Kerwin):
1983 August 20, Holland was shaken out of complacency.
The Media reported that Kerwin, an Antillian boy
of 15 years old, had been murdered.
His killer was a skinhead with words ‘100% White’ tattooed on
his arm.
‘ He was a dirty nigger, he shouldn’t give me such dirty look’.
This was the boy’s justification for his deed.
In the Netherlands Kerwin has become a symbol of the struggle against racism.
